Neil did Comes a Time. I mentioned this Christina Aguilera thing called Candyman a few weeks back, and it's pretty much about the same character. There were folk songs called Casey Jones and Stagger Lee. Close, but a bit different, Elizabeth Cotten's Shake Sugaree and Nat King Cole's Ramblin' Rose. Trivia question: name the title of a new song by Beck (not the only performer other than the Dead with this title).

I can't believe no one's mentioned "Believe It or Not" -the theme song from TV's "Greatest American Hero."

Of course, the theme song predates the GD version by several years, which may not count.

---

Staind (sic) apparently did a song called "Blow Away" but I'm not going to touch that with a 35 1/2 foot pole.

I would have mentioned it, but The Greatest American Hero is sacrosanct. Can't touch that one.

The vibe that night with Dean was intense. Jerry had the buck teeth and thick glasses thing going. The sound from the crowd seeped all into my urinary tract through the tip of my Franky stick. When Larry let those bubbles drop I thought I had shit my pants. I still get the runs when wearing those flip flops.

"Boy does it suck," of course, is a subjective response, open to disagreement.
